HyunJoo is a doctoral student in the Stan Richards School of Advertising and Public Relations. As an undergraduate, she received a dual degree at Kyung Hee University in South Korea and Hochschule Osnabrueck in Germany where she majored in International Studies and International Management respectively. She then continued on with her education in the field of International Business, based on which she decided to delve further into studying advertising. Her research focuses on consumer psychology and behavior in the social media environment. Within her work, she explores various aspects of consumer identities and representations in terms of their influence on the process of relationship-building between brand and audience on social media.
