Patrick is a first-year, Ph.D. Student at The Stan Richards School of Advertising and Public Relations at The University of Texas at Austin. His research interests involve consumer behavior and sustainability as it applies to purchasing behaviors and brand perceptions. Stemming from his past experiences, Patrick’s research interests developed from participating in various sustainable, social-good related causes during his educational and personal life. He has regularly participated in initiatives like Adopt-a-Highway and Make-a-Difference Day.

Previously, he was involved in research at Michigan State University dealing with a children’s science discovery television program on a PBS-affiliated television station. Furthermore, during his undergraduate education, he implemented an initiative called “The Teacher-Voice Project” with professors across numerous colleges within a mid-western university which aimed to find ways in which to increase student attentiveness within the classroom setting.

Prior to pursuing his Master’s Degree at Michigan State University, he worked for a telecommunications company as a Marketing Coordinator that serviced 54 rural communities within the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and Central Wisconsin. He has also been employed as a sales representative for entertainment and trade show organizations.
