I am a second-year Ph.D. student at the Stan Richard School of Advertising and Public Relations. As a scholar, I am defined by my personal and professional experience in the field of healthcare. On one hand, my personal experience drives my passion for advocacy, social equity, and behavioral reforms, on the other hand, my professional forte lies in exploring the concept of narrative transportation, entertainment education, and the role of emotions in persuading behavioral as well social changes. Additionally, I often found myself curious about cognitive processes behind practices of stigma, self-disclosure, and social support and always wonder how these phenomena can be treated differently with the help of new media tools such as social media, video games, and virtual beings. Hence, being an enthusiast for traveling a less traveled path, I see myself as an innovator in the field of social science.
